He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie Baker and Alta Baker; his sister Jeanette Johnson; and his brother-in-law Herman Johnson. He is survived by : his daughters, Jo Ann Stanford (Joey) and Jeanette Briggs (Kasey); his brother J. R. Baker (Sheila); his grandchildren, Austin Edwards (Jay) and Avery Wilkinson (Owen Crump); his great grandchild Scarlette; and his nephews, Chuck Johnson and Joseph Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks family and friends to do an act of kindness and pay it forward.
