It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chink Thomas (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sons, Brian N. and Joshua R. Thomas; his parents, Young M. Thomas and Ruby J. Davis Thomas; and his siblings, Robert A. "Bobby", Young M. "Junior" Thomas and Carolyn J. Baker.
He is survived by: his sisters, Doris I. "Dot" Hicks, Melba J. Clift and Shirley A. Oliver (Fred); his sister-in-law Mary Alice Thomas; and his pet Puss. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
