He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Ann Coe McDonald; his grandson Sam Gates Knight III (Mags); and his siblings-in-law, Faye McDonald, Linda Lesley, Roger Coe and Stan McAlister. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
