Black MD (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his fathers, Charles Mary Black and Rev. Hubert Otho Black; and his siblings, Sandra Kirkwood and Charles Black. He is survived by: his former wife Rosemary Ortega Black; his children, Samuel Black (Alison), Joel Black (Kalani), Dereke Ashe, Joshua Black (Amber) and Julia Groce (Justin); and his sisters, Julia Cagle (Steve), Rebecca Vick (Gary) and Mary Barrett (Brad). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren.
