He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Katherine (Kathy); his son Steven; and his brother Deward. He is survived by: his son Randal (Karlene); his daughter-in-law Angela (Virginia); his grandchildren, Randal Jr. (Emily) of Greenwood, Ashlee Wasmund (Colin) of Sylva, Kyle (Tracey) of Leesburg, Kelsey Blankenship (Craig) and Klint of Woodbridge; his great grandchildren, Riley Blankenship, Fiona Wasmund, Eleina, Eleanor Edgemon, Asher Blankenship, George Edgemon and Everett Edgemon; and his sister Alfreeda of Athens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
