We announce the death of Dinah Rose Johnson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Dinah Rose will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her son Joseph Johnson; her son-in-law Nathan Letson; her grandson Zachary; her parents, Teskar Abercrombie and Louise Abercrombie; and her siblings, Janet Slatton, Thetus Abercrombie and Frances Abercrombie.
She is survived by: her children, Leah Harbuck (Curt), Rachel Bryant (Jason), Hannah Langston (Jason), Esther Johnson, Bill Johnson, Ben Johnson, Abraham Johnson and David Johnson (Tiffany); and her siblings, Kathy Haire, Shirley Stanfield, Renee Weatherbee (Jim), Steve Abercrombie (Kim) and James Abercrombie. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (24 Kay St, Rossville, GA 30741).
