Don leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Don’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Don will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

He was predeceased by: his brother Lawrence "Peewee" Puryear. He is survived by: his parents, Don Puryear and Arlette Puryear; and his sisters, Lisa Cupp (George) and Danita Fansler (Richie). He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brown's Ferry Road Church of Christ.
