Don Salling Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2025, at the age of 90, Don Salling of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Don has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean McNair Salling; and his parents, John Edison and Martha Salling (Blakely). He is survived by: his children, Tammy Sawyers of Chattanooga, TN, Donna Mullis (Ernie) of Ringgold, GA, Teresa Sentell (Michael) of Catoosa County, GA and John Salling (Lorenda) of Dalton, MN; his sister Edene Fry of Chattanooga, TN; and his sister-in-law Sybil L'Heureux (David) of Franklin, TN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
