He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Joseph Morton and Edna Springfield Morton; and his brother James Austin Morton. He is survived by: his brother Dr. Jack Morton; and his sibling's children, Carolyn Morton Jirlds of Houston, Karen Morton Smith (Stanton) of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Marnie Morton Kuhns (Dave) of Ringgold, GA, Karen Collins (Glenn) of Ringgold, GA, Lisa Kline (Chris) of Soddy-Daisy, TN and Thad Morton (Gina) of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
