He was predeceased by: his wife Penelope Cooper; his stepson Justin Brown; his parents, T. A. Cooper and Lillian Cooper; and his sister Diane Cooper.
He is survived by: his son Clay Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lane Funeral Home (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
