He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice McIntosh Monroe and Dunward Beaumont Monroe; and his siblings, Jack Monroe and Mary Anne Sibold. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Monroe; his son Stephen Monroe (Ann); his grandson George Monroe; his sister Carol Monroe; his sisters-in-law, Terri Wyatt (Jimmy) and Beverly Monroe; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Dotson (Dan), Jay Wyatt, Eddie, Scott Monroe, Sam, Ward, Joe, Lara, Elizabeth Sibold, Kaila Dotson Cameron (Britton), Andrew, Ben Dotson, Cooper, Brody Cameron, Mason, Isabelle, McKenna, Spencer Sibold, Ian, Evan and Alyx Monroe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Signal Mountain United Methodist Church.
