He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret G. Richey and Robert E Lee Richey; and his sister Jean Helton. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Varnes Richey; his children, Lisa Richey Radney (John) of Columbia, SC and Michael W Richey (Edith) of Hickory, NC; and his siblings, Robert Richey (Sara) of Chattanooga, TN and Ginger McGhee (Edward) of Lexington, KY.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
