He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward O'Brien and Gladys O'Brien; and his brother Gerald Francis "Frank" O'Brien. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Beth O'Brien; his children, Edward O'Brien (Kathy), John O'Brien, Beth-Anne Longazel (Steve) and Sue-Ellen Franklin (Howard); his grandchildren, Margaret, Patrick O'Brien, Kayla and Christopher Longazel; and his brother Daniel Rea O'Brien.
