It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Hendrix (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Ellen Thompson Hendrix (Lord); and her adoptive parents, Frank Eugene Thompson and Mylissia Ellen Thompson of Water Valley, Mississippi.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. William B. Hendrix (Bill); her children, William B. Hendrix Jr. "Bill" (Cyndy), Mylissa Stout, Steven Hendrix, Michael Hendrix and Cindy Barclay; and her grandchildren, Marjorie Hendrix, Michelle Hendrix Glover, William Stout, Charlie Stout, Chris Hendrix, Gabrielle "Gaby" Leuck, Rachael Hendrix, Joshua Barclay and Matthew Barclay. She is also survived by ses nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
