She was predeceased by: her husband Don Tanner; her son Tony Hixson; her daughters-in-law, Velma Hixson and Nancy Gold; her parents, Ben Davis and Cydna Davis; and her siblings, Burnice, H. M. "Buster", Sam, Don, Sara and Patricia.
She is survived by: her son Dale Hixson; her daughter-in-law Susan Hixson; and her caregivers, Janie Cook and Alice McDaniel. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, Maple Grove Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
