She is survived by: her sons, Shawn Burks (Susan), Todd Burks (Cheryl), Brent Burks (Brittney) and Barrett Burks (Missy); her grandchildren, Caleb Burks (Julia), Michael Burks (Kylie), Rebekah Aranda (Samuel), Alex Burks, Luke Burks, Julie Burks (Ethan Peebles), Grant Burks, Grace Burks and Anna Cate Burks; her great grandchildren, Addie Grace, Charlotte and Ezra; and her brothers, Johnny Hurst (Gail) and Gary Hurst.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the UTC College of Nursing in honor of Gloria's lifelong dedication to the nursing profession, the compassionate nurses who cared for her, and her enduring commitment to educating and inspiring future generations of nurses.
