He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Grace Lawson Hickman and Charlie Hickman; and his siblings, Robert Hickman (Evelyn), Gladys Poe, Lavada Vanore (Clyde), Glen Hickman (Betty), Alice Carswell (Kenneth), Dossie Hickman, Dale Hickman (Geri) and Charlie Hickman, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Novis H. Hickman; his children, Thomas Lee Hickman (Cindy), Sherry Brooks (Elvan) and Nancy Elphingstone (Ken Broyles); and his grandchildren, Melissa Green (Kevin), Kristy Robb (Jeff), Jeff Hickman, Travesse Richardson, Rachel Richardson, Brook Barker (Mitchell), Beth Petree (Josh) and Ryan Elphingstone (Hannah). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, as well as many well-loved nephews and nieces.
