He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Morrison Pearson; his parents, Charles Pearson and Vidda Marie Pearson; and his brothers, Charles Pearson, Jr., Gilford Pearson and James Berl Pearson.

He is survived by: his children, Harold Dean Pearson, Jr. and Denise Painter (Michael); his grandchildren, Jacqueline Oaks (Zeb), Ashley Vander Wyk (Blake), Philip Painter and Benjamin Painter; his great grandchildren, Zethan Oaks and Jase Oaks; and his siblings, Billy Ray Pearson, Ronnie Pearson (Beth) and Mary Bradford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Harrison Ruritan Club or Crossroads Baptist Church.
