She was predeceased by: her husband N. E. McCaleb; her parents, Anton Guhl and Josephine Guhl of Germany; her sisters, Maria Kollmer of Germany, Annie Schmitt of Germany and Hilde Landwehr of Germany; and her son-in-law Ken Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Richard McCaleb (Soddy Daisy), Mary Eason (Ringgold), Betty Shelton (Red Bank), Debbie (Gary), Farmer (Ooltewah), David (Robin) and Glen (Darlene); her sister Trautel Mullins; her grandchildren, Matthew Eason, Craig Shelton, Samantha Thompson, Brittany Despaux and Paige McCaleb; and her great grandchildren, Luke Despaux and Rori Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343).
In honor of Irma's memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
