We announce the death of James Cross (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Albany, Kentucky, who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 82. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cross and Eva Cross. He is survived by: his brother Paul Cross; and his sister-in-law Karen Cross (Wanda Cross). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Lee University and Salvation Army in Warren's name.
