He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Burrell William Barker and Nolia Gibson Barker. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Watts Barker; his daughters, Jenny Simmons (Chris) and Judy Shappley (Jay); his grandchildren, Jennifer Shappley, Taylor Shappley (Sarah), Christopher Shappley, Tanner Simmons (Jenna) and Tyler Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Evy Shappley, Heidi Shappley, Lydia Shappley and Graham Jay Simmons. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
