He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie "Ruth" Pilgrim and William "Will" Pilgrim; his wife Carolyn Kelley Pilgrim; and his sisters, Linda Woolbright and Patricia Suit.
He is survived by: his sister Wanda Baldwin; his children, Teresa Nichols (Bill) and James "Jim" Pilgrim (Cindy); and his stepchildren, Jennifer Castleberry (Donald), Daniel "Dan" Kelley (Beth) and Bay Kelly (Andrea). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
