With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juanita Dodd Hooker of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Juanita shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Juanita farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy L. Hooker; her parents, Trewitt B. Dodd and Blanche Creasman Dodd; and her siblings, Rochelle D. Womack, Patricia D. Whitener and Wayne Dodd.
She is survived by: her niece Janet Abernathy; and her brother Trewhitt Timothy Dodd. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
