He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Koch and Charlotte Koch; and his brothers, Klaus Koch and Joachim Koch. He is survived by: his wife Nancy D. Koch; his sons, Russell Wilson (Vivian), Lauren Melton (Scott) and Ben Humphreys; and his grandchildren, Abriana, Kyla, Noa Wilson, Ryan and Declan Melton.
