She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Briggs and Elizabeth Briggs; and her siblings, Margaret Vance, Jim Briggs, Mary Moser and Susanne Marshall.
She is survived by: her husband Frederick Viland; her children, Drew Viland (Lisa), Greg Viland (Kari), Deirdre Bolter (George), Liz Gilmore (Nathan) and Joe Viland (Tara); her brother Joe Briggs; and her caregiver Alice Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery (1 Mount Olivet Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37412).
