Kay Hampsher Brown Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kay Hampsher Brown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Kay farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Kay is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Harry F. Hampsher Jr. and Martha Leob Hampsher; and her brother David. She is survived by: her husband Arch Brown; and her sister Barbara Coleman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Global Outreach Committee (Missions) of Hixson Presbyterian Church.
