He is survived by: his wife Barbara Chastain Bales Vandergriff; his children, Keri Murray (Michael), Scott Vandergriff and Sean Vandergriff (Dana); his brother Alan Vandergriff; and his grandchildren, Cameron Vandergriff, Kayla Vandergriff, Kaiden Vandergriff, Cora Vandergriff, Madilynn Murray, Zivah Vandergriff, Jon Vandergriff and Lily Vandergriff. He is also survived by three nephews.
