He is survived by: his wife Susan Hadley Gaines; his children, Jeff Gaines (Gloria), Brent Gaines (Julie), Kevin Gaines and Kimberly Gaines Eckert; and his grandchildren, Hadley Gaines, Calvin Gaines, Evie Gaines, Ethan Gaines, Addison Gaines, Tommy Eckert, Brennan Eckert, Lily Eckert and Oliver Eckert. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
