It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha L Vaughn of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Vaughn; her son Ronald Vaughn; her parents, John Higdon and Willie Higdon; and her siblings, Billy Higdon and Mary Brown.

She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Vaughn (Sue Anne) of Ooltewah, TN and Steve Vaughn (Ruby) of Hixson, TN; her grandchildren, Travis Vaughn (Ivett), Brittany Carpenter (Kyle) and Lauren Vaughn; her great grandchildren, Vivien, Kevin, Oliver Vaughn and Kylie Lillian Carpenter; and her sister Inez Guffey (Bill) of Valley Head. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
