He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Smith and Stella Smith; his wife Peggy Joyce Smith; his son David Ronald "Ronnie" Smith; and his siblings, Eugene, Johnny Smith, Odell Gainey, Irene Bonds, Lois Godfrey, Betty Jo Thomas and Joyce Teeters.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Michael Smith (Ginny), Marvin Warren Smith (Georgette), Joseph Matthew Smith and Jennie Lynne Fraiser (Phillip); and his siblings, Tina Elliot (Bob), Perry Smith and Charlie Smith. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
