She was predeceased by: her daughter Sandra Pinkerton Eaves; her grandson Nicholas Edward Pinkerton; and her sister Sarah Lavina Steele (Lewis). She is survived by: her children, James Edward Pinkerton (Elaine) and Janet Pinkerton O'Grady. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grand child.
