She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Griffith Davies (Doc) and Ruth Johnson Davies; her husband Robert Hann Venable; her brother Walter Griffith Davies, Jr.; her son Samuel Byrd Venable (Margaret Browder Venable); her daughter-in-law Roxanne Anderson Venable; and her grandson Sebastian Rombough Venable.

She is survived by: her brother Bob Davies (Bettye); and her children, Bob Venable Jr. (Caroline), Ruth Venable Ingram and Dan Venable (Lisa). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Presbyterian's Camp Vesper Point or Bible in the Schools.
