She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Belz and Lillian Belz; her grandmother Lil (West); her husband Dr. Bruce H. Backer; and her granddaughter Jessica Lillian Backer.
She is survived by: her siblings, Shepard and Gail; her uncle Sam; her cousin Miles; her sons, Spencer and Jake; her parents-in-law, Mildred and Mac; her grandson Carter; her children, Marla Brown, Dean Backer (Katy Mooney) and Robert Backer (Jennifer); her grandsons, Spencer Brown, Sam Backer, Miles Backer and Jake Backer (Hannah); and also Peggy Pryor.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the B'Nai Zion Cemetery (605 Lullwater Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405).
