He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin M. Payne and Martha Connally Payne. He is survived by: his wife Martha Price Payne; his sons, Bill Payne Chattanooga (Angie) and Johnathan Payne (Andrea); his foster son Dustin Fisher Chattanooga (Tammy); his grandchildren, Jackson Payne, Victoria, Calvin Payne, Alex, Emily and Noah Fisher; his siblings, Pat Payne (Marty) and Nancy Franks (Richard); his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Lowe and Margaret Atchley (Jim); and his siblings' children, James Franks, Gregg, David Watkins, Alice Yielding, Ann Marie McBryar, Heather Hodge and Meredith DeBusk. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in Mike's memory to the Television Ministry at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 208, Chattanooga, TN 37401.
