With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Brewer (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nellie Brewer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Otto Childress and Ruby Jewel Apple Childress; her husband Fred Brownlow Brewer, Jr.; and her siblings, Molly Richardson, Margaret Bedwell, Dorothy Etter, Shirley Schmidt, Diane Scanlan, Herschel and James Childress.
She is survived by: her sister Charlotte Williams; her children, Tina Jennings (Gary), Malinda Treacy (Robert) and Michael Brewer (Sally); her grandchildren, Jason Jennings, Tara Benvie, Amanda Wooten (Hodge) and Hayden Brewer; and her great grandchildren, Annsley Jennings, Ryleigh Benvie, Jennings Wooten and Sloane Wooten. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epilepsy Foundation (give.epilepsy.com) in memory of Nellie Brewer in her continuing love and support for her great-granddaughter Ryleigh.
