It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Yvonne Russell (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Hughes and Gladys Higgins Hughes; her husband William A. Russell (Bill); her daughter Sharon Leamon; her son-in-law Samuel Hicks; her stepdaughter Kathy O'Neil; her great grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Hicks; and her siblings, William Hughes (Bill), Laura Campbell, Midge Sampley and Joann Hughes.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Hicks; her grandchildren, Stacey Wilson (Ronnie), Misty Pettit, Scott Hicks, Andrew Hicks (Sheri) and Randy Lewis; her stepchildren, Ellen Farmakas (Tom), Laura Glazner (Jon) and Mark Russell (Ruby); her sisters, Sue McDonald, Pam McBrayar (late Paul) and Mary Hoge (late David); Frank O'Neil. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
