He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Cox; his parents, John Cox and Hattie Lackey Cox; and his sons-in-law, Joey Scott and Steve Lilly.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda A. Cox (Moore); his children, Michelle Lilly, Pam Scott and Steven Cox; and his daughter-in-law Judy Cox. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
