He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hornsby and Ruth Hornsby; and his nephew Tim Baker. He is survived by: his wife Debi Hornsby; his son Chad Dukes (Danida); his grandchildren, Daniel, Elizabeth, Hanna and Ezekial “EZ” Dukes; his siblings-in-law, Shelley Cruze, Tina Broom and John Broom; his niece Christy Dudley (Christopher); his nephews, Jonathan Broom (Jenny) and Eric Baker (Lisa); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Miles Baker, Cade, Colby Broom, Phoebe Broom and Ivory Dudley. He is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Richard's honor to a charity of your choice, as a reflection of his generous and caring spirit.
