With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Christopher Barger (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on August 24, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. "Gene" Barger and Sandra "Sandy" Lee Roberts; his uncle James "Jimmy" Masingill; his grandparents, Robert Lapsley "R. L." Barger and Eloise Minnie Barger; his brother-in-law Phillip Nathan Hodge; and his niece Eloise Hodge.
He is survived by: his stepmother Peggy Ann Barger Salgado; his sister Julie Dawn Hodge (Steve); his nieces, Jordan Carver (Joey) and Harley Hodge; his grandchildren, Christopher, Phillip Carver and Luna Mae Hodge; his great grandchild Robert Matthew Barger; and his granddaughter Lilian Janette Barger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home (3913 Webb Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37416). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Old McDonald Cemetery (8800 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363).
