He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bevering and Margaret Bevering; his wife Judith Boyer Bevering; his son Mark Bevering; and his siblings, William, Carl Jr., Joseph Bevering, Geraldine Kutz, Elizabeth Meyers, Mary Lucille and Margaret Jean Dow.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. Bevering (Susan), Michael Bevering (Wendy), Bart Bevering (Karen), Dale Bevering and Marylou Parris (Michael) of Chattanooga; his sister Rosemary Glenn (Findley) of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Tommy Bevering, Amber, Cori Rorex (Lance), Caitlyn, Christopher, Shelby and Lee Ann. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
