He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Pendergrass McRoy; and his parents, William Earl McRoy and Lucinda Payne McRoy. He is survived by: his daughters, Penney McRoy and Pamela Lewis; his granddaughter Megan Lewis; his siblings, Bill McRoy (Gail) and Charlotte Peek (late Kenneth); his sister-in-law Marilee Pendergrass DeBord (late Franklin); and his aunt Maggie Payne Crownover. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens (5351 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Ronnie's memory to the Chattanooga Humane Educational Society or the Pat Summitt Foundation.
