He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Ann Marshall; his son Samuel E. Marshall III; his parents, Samuel E. Marshall, Sr. and Viola Ruth Marshall; and his siblings, James Marshall, Joan Marshall Espy and Vesta Marshall Wilbanks.
He is survived by: his children, Terri L. Marshall-Holder (Gregory Holder) and Wade P. Marshall (Eric Wagner); his grandchildren, Christopher M. Farris (Ashley) and Jennifer L. Acocella (Thomas John); and his great grandchildren, Katherine E. Farris, Marshall B. Farris and Benjamin M. Acocella.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of Carolyn Marshall who passed away from cancer in January 2025.
