He is survived by: his wife Linda Faye Maxwell; his sister Vicki Goggins (Jack); his children, Kristi Sutherland of Huntsville, AL., Janine Varner (Jeff) of Cincinnati, OH and Brent Shumaker (Sharon) of Knoxville, TN; and his grandchildren, Christian Sutherland (Gabby), Jason Sutherland, Britton Shumaker, Brianna Sutherland, Julia Shumaker, Harrison Varner and Sam Varner.
