He is survived by: his wife Patti Blevins McDonald; his children, Daniel McDonald (Ashley) of Ringgold, GA, Ashley Herren (Josh) of Woodland, AL and Nicholas McDonald (Angela) of Chattanooga, TN; his grandchildren, Piper Reeve, Bailey McDonald, Brooklyn McDonald, Victoria Reeve, Emilee McDonald and Parker McDonald; and his siblings, Katie Morris (David) of Murfreesboro, TN, Marty McDonald (Carolyn) of Knoxville, TN and Miller McDonald Jr. (Sally). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Battlefield Parkway Church of The Nazarene Building fund or to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
