With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jackie O'Dell of Chuckey, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jackie left this world on July 20, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank O'Dell and Jerlean O'Dell; and his grandchild Peyton O'Dell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy O'Dell; his children, Shannon O'Dell (Lisa), Michelle Ferguson (Kevin Smith) and Mark Brooks; and his grandchildren, Brooke Gridley (Ben), Alaina Whaley (Coby) and Michael Ferguson. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; three sisters, and a host family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jeffers Funeral Home (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37684).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to ALSAC/St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
