He is survived by: his children, Joseph Carpenter (Janet), Linda Massey (James), Karen Carpenter Smith and Terry Carpenter (Dawn); his grandsons, Roger Lynn Metcalf Jr., Tommy Darnell (Kisha) and Cody Darnell (Jessi); his stepgrandson Jessy Massey; his great grandchildren, Amber Lynn Metcalf, Thomas Darnell Jr., Nicholas Darnell, Caden Darnell and Alivia Darnell; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Jessy Massey.
