With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Johnson of Chuckey, Tennessee, who passed away on July 7, 2023 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter Johnson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Newman Johnson (Boge) and Lanore Johnson; his parents-in-law, Glenn and Cecil McCarter; and his son-in-law Steve Neas.

He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Johnson; his children, Lisa Johnson-Neas of Greeneville, Glenda Fox Ogle (Steven) of Sevierville and Tim Johnson (Amy) of Chuckey; his grandchildren, Joslyn Livingston, Brycen Fox Raney, Lukas Raney, Jenna Raney and Maylee Ogle; his siblings, Marie Johnson Shelton (Carl) and Wayne Johnson (Jeanette); and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Kirby (Max) and Pat Stern (Doug).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gideons International or Tusculum University in Walter's memory.
