With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jo Compton (Church Hill, Tennessee), who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rasnic and Lizzie Pannell Rasnic; her husband Marvin B. Compton; her daughter Marvella Faye Compton Cross; her grandson Michael Christopher Howard; and her siblings, Lois Bowen (Junior), Mildred Dishner (Robert), Marcella Evans (Paul), Eulice Rasnick (Anna Lee), Audna Jay Rasnic, Billy Ray Rasnic (Jean) and William Thomas Rasnic.
She is survived by: her son Robert Martin "Marty" Compton (Laura Compton); her granddaughter Janelle Compton; her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Wyant (Ashley), Jordan Wyant and Amethyst "Amy" Wyant; her great grandchildren, Niko Wyant and Alec Wyant; and her siblings, Nannie Jones (Glenn), Janice Jones (Wayne) and Dennis Rasnic. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
