She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. C. Gentry and Dovie M. Gentry; her husband Douglas V. Maxwell; her siblings, Bettie Flowers, Evelyn Cleveland, Barbara Turner, Joe L. Gentry, William H. Gentry and Patricia Braden; and her grandson Preston Peters.

She is survived by: her son Gary (Charlotte); her great grandchildren, Victoria, Ava, Genevieve Wilson of Trenton, Malachi, Dominik, Giovanni and Giancarlo Peters; and her close friend Zeola Leeper. She is also survived by one niece and several nephews.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family requests no food or visits to the home and to please follow the CDC guidelines and to wear mask when visiting at the funeral home.
