It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Reed of Clairfield, Tennessee, who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joyce leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby Calhoun and Ella Nelly Calhoun; her husband George Reed, Jr.; her son Dale Reed; and her grandson Eric Reed.
She is survived by: her sons, Kyle Reed (Bobbie) and Enos Reed. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel (112 S 21st St, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Assembly Cemetery.
